Actress Kemi Afolabi has reacted to the allegation involving fellow actress Irewole Olaniyan and a married man.
The issue came up after Maryam accused Irewole of having a relationship with her husband and alleged that the actress travelled with him to South Africa.
Irewole has denied knowingly dating a married man, saying she did not know he was married when they went on a few dates. She also said she stopped seeing him after finding out about his marital status.
Reacting to the situation, Kemi questioned why a wife would ask another woman to stay away from her husband when the husband himself is willing to maintain contact with that woman.
She said:
“A grown man booked a whole trip to South Africa with a lady, and the wife is telling the lady to leave her man alone?
“If another woman has ACCESS to your man, na because the man allow am. PERIOD!”
“If you as wife no get power to hold your man for house, mistress no get strength to stop am from chasing her.”
Kemi also questioned the perception that actresses are often blamed when they are linked to married men.
She added:
“Actresses and people’s husbands na 5&6? How about people’s husbands should LEAVE Actresses alone.”
