Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has passed away at the age of 82

He died on Thursday, July 25, 2024, in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory
Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu was elected to lead the apex Igbo organization on April 20, 2023, following the death of his predecessor, Prof. George Obiozor.
He becomes the second President General to die in office.
A renowned businessman, politician, and philanthropist, Iwuanyanwu made significant contributions to various sectors, including real estate, manufacturing, and hospitality.
He was also involved in politics and held leadership positions in political parties.
Additionally, he supported various philanthropic initiatives, focusing on education, healthcare, and community development.
