CBEX fraud: EFCC declares two more wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared two individuals—Folashade Odelana and Bamidele Ayodele Abiodun—wanted for their alleged involvement in the fraudulent online trading platform, Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX)

According to the EFCC, the last known address of the suspects is No. 17, Oremeta Street, Allen, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Commission is calling on members of the public to provide any information that could lead to their arrest. “Anyone with useful information as to their whereabouts should please contact the Commission in its Ibadan, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja offices,” the EFCC said in a statement.

Contact can also be made through the phone numbers 09-9044751-3, 08093322644, 08183322644, 07026350721-3, 0706350724-5, or via email at [email protected]. Citizens may also report to the nearest police station or other security agencies.

CBEX, a digital investment platform, is alleged to have defrauded thousands of Nigerians of approximately ₦1.3 trillion. The company had promised investors a 100% return on investment within 30 days. However, the platform suddenly collapsed, and funds in investors’ wallets disappeared without a trace.

The EFCC has already arrested some suspects linked to the scam and continues to intensify efforts to apprehend all those involved.
