President Trump revealed Friday morning on “Fox & Friends” that the person of interest in the Charlie Kirk assassination is now in custody
Trump said he learned of the arrest just minutes before going on air and expressed “a high degree of certainty” that the possible shooter had been apprehended.
He explained that the suspect was turned in with the help of a minister, a U.S. Marshal, and the man’s father. Trump praised everyone involved in the manhunt, noting how challenging it was to track the individual down, starting “with absolutely nothing.”
TMZ previously obtained video showing the person of interest walking down a residential street in Orem, Utah, shortly before Kirk was shot while speaking at Utah Valley University. About six minutes after the shooting, someone dressed in black was seen running in the opposite direction through a backyard.
