Raye, a popular NYSC corper has revealed why she stopped going to church
In a candid clip, she explained that many challenges faced by young people are not spiritual but economic in nature.

Raye stressed that the common belief that family curses or village traditions cause setbacks is misleading. According to her, the difficulties youths experience are largely due to growing up in a harsh economy that makes success far more difficult.
She said:
“I stopped going to church because I realized my problems weren’t spiritual—they were economic. Nothing is wrong with you, your family hasn’t cursed you, and your village hasn’t affected you. What slows down the average youth is growing up in an economy that makes success five times harder.
I used to make a lot of naive videos until one day I realized that this wasn’t a spiritual issue—it was an economic one. I love God, but I genuinely believe I have no curse. Once I changed my mindset and accepted that there’s no curse on me, I started finding ways to break out of poverty.
To overcome these challenges, you have to think outside the box and find solutions yourself, instead of blaming your father, mother, or family. That mindset—that belief that your struggles are inherited—is actually the real barrier.”
