Ivy Okoye, wife of Paul Okoye, has shared her thoughts on the kind of entertainment people consume, urging a more mindful approach to songs and movies

In a post shared on her page, the fashion entrepreneur said people should be careful about what they allow into their minds through entertainment, especially content that promotes negative behavior or thoughts.

According to her, some songs and films can subtly influence emotions and mindset, even when it doesn’t feel obvious at first.

She advised that anything that appears to plant “evil seeds” such as lust, dishonesty, or other negative tendencies should be avoided, regardless of how much one likes the artist or actor behind it.

“Pay attention to songs and movies that sow evil seeds in your spirit. It doesn’t matter how much you like the artist/actor/person, if you can feel it birthing evil in your mind lust, dishonesty, lies, any evil whatsoever, just cut it off,” she wrote.

She added that people should not assume they are immune to influence, warning that repeated exposure to such content can have an effect over time.

“Don’t worry, I know you feel like your spirit is strong and it can’t affect you, but believe me, just cut it off. It’s not really worth it! It will affect you,” she said.

Her message focused on being intentional about what people watch and listen to, and prioritising mental and spiritual well being over entertainment preferences.
