Ivy Zenny, wife of singer Paul Okoye, has urged people to stop shaming, comparing pregnant women, stressing that every pregnancy journey is unique.

In a message shared online, Zenny noted the physical and emotional realities of pregnancy, describing it as a serious experience that affects women differently.

“Pregnancy is not a joke! It’s a life or death situation, literally! Come women very gracefully, some struggle. What matters is that they’re both bringing life,” she said.

According to her, no two women experience pregnancy in exactly the same way, as several factors can influence how a woman carries a pregnancy.

“No two women are the same, not even twins and no two bodies are the same!” she added.

Zenny noted that factors such as genetics, quality of life, nutrition, hormones, mental and emotional health, physical condition, and even the quality of the sperm can affect pregnancy outcomes and experiences.

She also pointed out that partners have a role to play in supporting women throughout pregnancy, adding that the way a woman carries a pregnancy should not be a basis for judgment or criticism.

“So yes, you can affect the way your woman carries too!” she stated.

Calling for greater empathy and understanding, Zenny urged the public to refrain from shaming expectant mothers and to recognize that every pregnancy comes with its own challenges and experiences.

“STOP SHAMING PREGNANT WOMEN!!” she concluded.
