The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that singer D4vd is expected to be arraigned on Monday in downtown Los Angeles
Speaking at a press briefing, District Attorney Nathan Hochman revealed that on April 23, 2025, a teenage girl, Rivas Hernandez, visited Burke’s residence in the Hollywood Hills and was never seen again.
Her remains, described as dismembered and decomposed, were later discovered on September 8, 2025, inside the front trunk of a Tesla linked to Burke, marking the beginning of the investigation.
“A parent’s nightmare is a situation where your daughter goes out one night and never comes back,” Hochman stated.
Authorities outlined three major charges against the singer. The first is first-degree m.urder with special circumstances, including allegations that the act was premeditated and carried out while lying in wait.
The second involves an additional special circumstance of murder for financial gain, with prosecutors alleging the victim posed a threat to Burke’s successful music career on the night of the incident.
The third charge accuses him of killing a potential witness tied to an investigation into alleged s.exual misconduct.
Hochman further disclosed that the case includes accusations involving multiple s.exual offences with a minor, as well as the mutilation of the victim’s body.
