DJ Kulet has opened up about her past, revealing that she once engaged in prostitution in Surulere, Lagos, before her life turned around
She made the disclosure during a testimony session at a church service on Sunday, where she narrated her journey from a difficult background to her current success in music.

While giving the testimony, Kulet said she grew up in Lawanson, Surulere, and was widely known for her past lifestyle in the area.
“Everybody knows me because I grew up in Lawanson. But I repented, and God removed me from the gutter,” she said.
She also shared the video on her Instagram page on Monday, giving more details about her transformation and how her life changed over time.
Kulet claimed that she had once been homeless and struggled on the streets of Lagos before her breakthrough.
“I was once homeless and sleeping around. Of course, you know me because I was very popular then. I was into prostitution. I was roaming the streets of Lagos, homeless,” she said.
According to her, her situation began to change gradually, starting from renting a small apartment, then moving into better accommodation as her DJ career progressed.
She further stated that despite challenges with previous housing conditions, including a lack of proper toilet facilities at some point, her income from DJing continued to improve her standard of living.
“After two years of living in a house without a toilet, I was elevated to a four-bedroom ensuite apartment where I’m currently living through my work as a DJ,” she added.
Kulet also claimed that in April last year, she acquired a house in Surulere, saying it was fully paid for through her work and without any form of prostitution involvement.
