Singer D4vd has been taken into police custody by the Los Angeles Police Department on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation into the d. eath of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas, marking a major development in a case that has been unfolding for months.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed it is aware of the arrest. Officials said the case is expected to be forwarded to the Major Crimes Division, where prosecutors will review the evidence and determine whether formal charges should be filed.
The arrest comes more than seven months after Rivas’s body was discovered inside a Tesla linked to the singer, in a state of decomposition, according to earlier reports that first brought widespread attention to the investigation.
At this stage, authorities have not announced formal charges, and the investigation remains ongoing as prosecutors continue to assess the available evidence before deciding on the next steps in the case.
