Nigerian media figure Daddy Freeze has shared his thoughts on the ongoing custody tussle between singer Davido and his first babymama, Sophia Momodu.
In an Instagram video, Freeze revealed that someone close to the lawyer handling the case reached out to express concern over the online backlash she has been enduring after Davido publicly criticized her.
While stressing that he does not condone intimidation, harassment, or bullying in any form, Freeze pointed out that the situation reflects deeper flaws within Nigeria’s legal system.
He noted that lawyers often resort to sharp words and personal attacks in court to sway outcomes a strategy he himself has experienced firsthand.
He questioned the rationale behind introducing sensitive topics, such as references to Davido’s late son, during court arguments, calling it a series of “unnecessary low blows.”
Freeze further highlighted that even if one emerges victorious in court, social media remains a “court of public opinion,” where the verdict may play out very differently.
