Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya recently shared her bewilderment over the love bite trend, and her words have people talking.
After socialite Yhemo Lee posted an Instagram video warning young people to be careful with hickeys; “I know that we are in a new generation, which is fantastic. And youths like to explore – to do things that are different from back in the day. I want you to know that you need to do a background check before you allow your partners to give you a hickey. There are people with a history of madness in their family; if you allow such a bite on your neck. One of my friends in the University almost lost his oesophagus and intestines to it. A word is enough for the wise.”
Debbie admitted she simply can’t relate.
“I had to go on Google after seeing @yhemo_lee’s video. Mi o understand o! Una go nack finish, still con bite unaself join. E be like say I no dey woke o! I can’t relate.
As In…Koyemi. E Tun Ge Ara Yin Je Ni? After The Whole Primary Assignment, Una Still Dey Hickey Abi Wetin Una Dey Call Am. E Be Like Say Na Only Me No Fit Relate,” she wrote, capturing her honest take with a mix of humor and disbelief.
Her post has sparked lively conversations online, with many saying that some new generation trends are often confusing, don’t make much sense, and definitely shouldn’t be seen as a flex.
