Music producer Diddy’s legal team made their third attempt to secure his release while he awaits trial on s3x trafficking and racketeering charges, proposing strict house arrest conditions at an Upper East Side apartment in New York.
During Friday’s federal court hearing, defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo outlined what he called “very, very rigorous” restrictions for his client.
The proposed arrangement would include round-the-clock monitoring, two live-in guards, a third security guard stationed downstairs, and complete prohibition of phone and internet access.
Agnifilo argued these conditions would be more restrictive than Diddy’s current confinement at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.
Judge Arun Subramanian indicated he would make his decision about the release next week.
However, he immediately dismissed the possibility of house arrest at Diddy’s $48.5 million Florida mansion on Star Island, explicitly stating that such an arrangement “is not going to work.“
