Christian “King” Combs faced criticism after taking over his father Diddy’s Instagram account, aiming to spread “positivity” amid Diddy’s ongoing legal troubles.
The rapper, 55, was arrested in September on charges of racketeering, conspiracy, sex trafficking, and more, and is currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

Christian, 27, son of Diddy and the late Kim Porter, addressed the 19.8 million Instagram followers, saying, “Right now I’m taking over my pop’s Instagram. We’re going to be posting videos, spreading good energy, taking y’all down memory lane, all the positive things he did. So stay tuned and watch this. We love you pops, happy birthday.”
However, many followers reacted harshly in the comments, expressing their disapproval amid Diddy’s charges and just hours after Donald Trump’s election win over Kamala Harris.
One user wrote, “We don’t trust you either, Lil Diddy,” while another said, “Your timing is absolutely terrible.”
Others commented that while it’s understandable for Christian to support his father, they felt it was wrong to “push a narrative” that ignores the serious accusations.
Comments included, “Your pops done bro, he ain’t seeing the light of the day anytime soon,” and “Honey, we don’t wanna hear this today.”
