A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, Dino Melaye, has refuted reports suggesting he said former Peter Obi is unfit to be Nigeria’s president
Several media outlets (excluding Parallel Facts News) had on Thursday claimed that the former Kogi West Senator described Obi as “a fantastic man who cannot become Nigeria’s President” during an appearance on Channels Television.
Melaye took to X to dismiss the claims as entirely false and baseless, stressing that he never made such statements.
He said: “This is fake and not from me.”
His clarification comes amid rising speculation over the 2027 presidential election, with Obi widely viewed as a prominent contender within his party and among voters.
