On July 16, 2024, a severe storm hit Toronto, Canada, causing widespread flooding in several areas, including the home of rapper Drake
The storm brought nearly four inches of rain, breaking the city’s rainfall record set in 1941.
Drake shared footage of the flooding on Instagram Stories, showing one floor of his mansion underwater.
Despite the damage, he made light of the situation, joking about the water’s color.
Environment Canada reported that three separate storms converged, causing the heavy rainfall.
While the storm has passed, residents, including Drake, face a significant cleanup effort.
Fortunately, no further significant rain is expected for the rest of the day, allowing the city to begin its recovery.
