The Department of State Services (DSS) has dismissed 115 personnel as part of its ongoing internal reforms to promote professionalism, discipline, and integrity within the agency
In a statement released via its official X handle, @OfficialDSSNG, the Service explained that the dismissals were carried out over time as part of a broad effort to cleanse its ranks and strengthen internal accountability.

The DSS also cautioned Nigerians against engaging with individuals who were dismissed but continue to impersonate active operatives.
“In addition to earlier disclaimers on the duo of Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, the Service finds it necessary to warn citizens of the fraudulent activities of some of these persons still posing as DSS personnel,” the statement read.
The agency advised members of the public to always verify the identity of anyone claiming to be a DSS operative before engaging in official dealings. It added that the names of all dismissed personnel have been published on its official website, www.dss.gov.ng, for public reference and transparency.
“For the sake of clarity, the identities of the dismissed personnel have been published on the website of the Service,” it stated.
The DSS urged anyone with complaints or inquiries to contact the Service via 09088373515 or email [email protected].
Reaffirming its commitment to upholding discipline and professionalism, the agency said the reforms are part of its broader mandate to protect national security and ensure public trust.
