Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has announced a significant increase in the minimum wage for civil servants in the state

The new minimum wage of N75,000 was revealed during a Holy Mass at the Government House Chapel in Abakaliki on Sunday.
According to a statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor, the decision follows a thorough review of the current economic situation in the country and its impact on the workforce.
Governor Nwifuru stated that grade level 2 civil servants will receive the full minimum wage of N75,000, while those from grade level 3 and above will receive an increment of N40,000 across the board.
The new minimum wage will take effect on Monday, October 28, 2024.
