Singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran has acquired a 1.4% minority stake in Ipswich Town Football Club, a newly promoted Premier League team

As a lifelong fan of the Tractor Boys, Sheeran’s investment is a testament to his dedication to the club.
Sheeran’s involvement with Ipswich Town deepens, having been the main shirt sponsor for the men’s and women’s teams since 2021. He has also designed the club’s Suffolk-inspired third kit.
While Sheeran’s investment is passive and minority, he will have long-term use of an executive box at Portman Road.
However, he will not join the club’s board and has humorously asked fans not to approach him with signing suggestions or tactics.
Ipswich Town chairman Mark Ashton praised Sheeran’s support, highlighting the significance of his investment.
Meanwhile, ex-Ipswich captain Matt Holland has joined the board of directors, bringing his expertise to the team.
As Ipswich Town prepares to kick off their Premier League campaign against Liverpool, Sheeran’s investment marks an exciting new chapter for the club.
