Elon Musk has become the first person in history to reach a net worth of more than $1 trillion following the public listing of SpaceX on the Nasdaq stock exchange
The billionaire entrepreneur crossed the trillion-dollar milestone after SpaceX made its stock market debut on Friday, with the company’s strong opening performance significantly increasing the value of his holdings.

Shares of the aerospace company opened at $150, above the IPO price of $135, pushing SpaceX’s valuation to nearly $2 trillion. As one of the company’s largest shareholders, Musk saw his personal fortune rise dramatically as investors responded positively to the listing.
According to estimates, his net worth now stands at around $1.1 trillion, making him the wealthiest individual ever recorded.
The surge in wealth reflects Musk’s extensive business empire, which spans several major companies, including Tesla, SpaceX, xAI, Neuralink and The Boring Company.
The achievement marks a historic moment in global business, placing Musk in a league of his own as the first person to surpass the trillion-dollar wealth mark.
