The suspension stems from violations of FIFA’s Disciplinary Code, specifically Articles 13 and 14, related to offensive conduct and misconduct.

The incidents occurred during Cameroon’s match against Brazil on September 11, where Eto’o and the Cameroon delegation disputed a penalty decision.

The ban prevents Eto’o from attending any Cameroon matches, across all age categories and genders.

The ban is effective immediately. Eto’o remains president of FECAFOOT, despite this disciplinary action.

This is his second disciplinary action in 2024, following a $200,000 fine by the Confederation of African Football in July.

Additionally, Eto’o has faced conflict with Cameroon’s sports ministry over the appointment of the men’s national team coach.

FIFA has communicated the decision to the Cameroon Federation, and the suspension will last six months.
