Properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed in a fire incident that ravaged some rooms at the Polytechnic Ibadan in Oyo State
It was gathered that the incident occurred in the early hours of today.
The fire affected three rooms out of the four rooms in the staff quarters.
The General Manager, Oyo State Fire Service, Mr Yemi Akinyinka, confirmed the incident.
Akinyinka noted that the fire occurred as a result of electricity spark when the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) restored electricity in the institution.
No casualty was recorded in the fire incident.
