Popular activist VeryDarkMan has raised concerns about the rising insecurity in the country, expressing fear over the growing tension between civilians and security forces, as well as the ongoing thr. eat of b.anditry and extremist groups.
Speaking in strong and emotional terms, he warned that the situation has reached a point where many young people feel trapped between da.nger and survival.
He stated that frustration is increasing, especially as insecurity continues to affect daily life in several communities.
VeryDarkMan also made a direct appeal to Nigerian youths, especially members of the RATEL Movement, urging them to stay alert and prepared as he called for stronger collective action against armed groups.
In his words:
“At this point, I’m scared because even if I don’t go after them, they may still come after me. Nigerian youths, even if all we have are stones, we might end up thr0wing stones while the police and the army sh00t their guns. It has reached that point.
‘We need to come together to drive these b.andits away. Operation ‘Move Them Out.’ Ratels, this generation will be the ones to pursue them.
This has been going on for too long. We are sending a message to Boko Haram: prepare yourselves, we are coming for you strongly. I don’t know how, but we are putting ourselves forward. So let them reinforce because we are also reinforcing.”
He emphasized unity among the youths insisting that collective action is needed to confront armed groups responsible for insecurity.
According to him, the situation has dragged on for too long and requires immediate and stronger community response and coordination.
