Tay Keith, the Memphis-born producer known for his work with some of the biggest names in hip-hop, has di.ed at 29.
Police in Nashville said he was found during a welfare check at his apartment on Thursday. They added that there’s no sign of foul play at this time, and the cause of de.ath is still being looked into.
Keith first came into major attention in 2018 when he produced “Look Alive” for BlocBoy JB and Drake. From there, his sound quickly became part of a lot of major records, including Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode,” which pushed him into global recognition.
He worked with big names like Drake, Travis Scott, Future, Beyoncé, Eminem, and Cardi B. His sound was always hard-hitting and simple, but really effective. You know the kind of beats that stick with you and usually turn songs into hits.
