Halle Bailey has been granted temporary sole legal and physical custody of her 16-month-old son, Halo, following allegations of domestic abuse against her ex-boyfriend, rapper and YouTuber DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.)

A Los Angeles judge issued the order on May 13, 2025, also granting Bailey a temporary restraining order that requires DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from both her and their son. The order further prohibits him from possessing firearms or contacting Bailey in any way, directly or indirectly.
In court documents, The Little Mermaid star detailed multiple incidents of alleged abuse, including a January encounter where she says DDG physically assaulted her during a custody exchange. She claimed the altercation resulted in a chipped tooth and bruises.
Bailey also expressed concern that DDG could attempt to take their child without her consent, pointing to a past incident in which he allegedly failed to confirm plans to return Halo after a visit.
A court hearing to determine the future of the custody arrangement is scheduled for June 4, 2025.
