HARDSHIP: "I'm scared to open my phone because of begging messages" - Dele Momodu

For many Nigerians, conversations about the cost of living and security have become part of everyday life. Rising expenses, financial pressure and concerns about safety continue to affect families and individuals across the country, leaving many worried about what tomorrow may bring.

Sharing his thoughts on the situation, Dele Momodu said the level of hardship many people are experiencing today is unlike anything he has witnessed over the years.

According to him:

“The economy of Nigeria is so bad that these days I get too scared to even open some messages on my phone because everyone is begging. People are suffering so much and also insecurity has never been this bad before in Nigeria. I’m 66 going to 67years so, I’m old enough to know and understand the challenges we have encountered in Nigeria before now and nothing can equal this present administration. And I’m not seeing any sign of remorse or atonement, it has always been we are we will do something about it yet nothing is yet to be done.”

Drawing from his years of experience, Momodu said he has watched Nigeria go through different challenges, but believes the country is currently facing one of its most difficult periods.

He spoke about the growing economic hardship affecting many people, the increasing security concerns, and his disappointment that, in his view, the situation has not improved despite repeated assurances that solutions would be provided.
