Tragedy has struck the entertainment industry with the loss of retired actress Dalyce Curry, known for her iconic roles in films like The Blues Brothers, The Ten Commandments, and Lady Sings the Blues

Curry, 95, succumbed to the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, Forbes reported on Monday.
According to authorities, Curry’s remains were discovered at her burned-down residence in Altadena, California.
Her great-granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, revealed that she had last seen Curry on the evening of January 7, when she dropped her off at home. Despite attempts to locate her, Curry’s family was unable to find her until officials confirmed that her remains had been found at her destroyed property.

Kelley took to Facebook to share the heartbreaking news, writing, “About an hour ago, the coroner confirmed her remains were indeed found at the property. #RIPMOMMADEE… We had a great run. She impacted my life in so many ways. This loss is devastating.”
Curry’s family remembered her as an active and vibrant individual, with her granddaughter Loree Beamer-Wilkinson stating, “You wouldn’t think she was 95.” Curry’s passing is one of at least 24 fatalities reported in the Los Angeles area due to the wildfires.
