Jim Iyke says his much-talked-about birthday message to Kate Henshaw was never a mistake but a deliberate move to stir reactions

In an interview with Pulse TV, the actor explained that the post was simply a playful exchange between two long-time friends, not an act of disrespect.

“It was meant to shock. Everything I do is disruptive,” he said. “But about 80% of people now understand it was just communication between two people who have shared a bond for decades. There’s no insensitivity, no dishonour — Kate is my sister. How many can say they’ve had a two-decade relationship with someone not related by blood?”

Iyke also criticized those who misinterpreted the message, saying this generation has become “too sensitive.”
