Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has denied allegations of assaulting Turkish journalist Tolga Bozduman and has vowed to pursue legal action against him

Bozduman, a journalist with Posta, accused Osimhen of physically assaulting him after Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw with Dinamo Kyiv. According to Bozduman, the alleged incident occurred outside a nightclub where he was taking pictures with other journalists.
Bozduman claimed Osimhen became agitated when cameras flashed, tried to seize his camera, and then punched him in the head. He also alleged that the striker offered money to have the photos deleted and threatened consequences if the images were published.
However, Osimhen refuted the claims, clarifying that he was never at a nightclub. Speaking to Turkish journalist Enes Cevahirci, he said the incident occurred outside an African restaurant where he and friends, including fellow Nigerian international Kenneth Omeruo, had gone for dinner.
“I was never at a nightclub,” Osimhen stated. “We were outside the restaurant looking at my friend’s new car when some people suddenly appeared with cameras and started taking pictures without consent. I asked them what they wanted, but they gave no response and kept taking pictures. My friends intervened, saying this was unprofessional.”
The striker insisted he never assaulted the journalist, explaining, “I never punched him or hit him. I only asked him to delete the pictures, as I have every right to do so.”
Osimhen has maintained his innocence and expressed his intention to take legal steps to clear his name.
