Singer, Reekado Banks has revealed that he left Mavin Records prematurely, a decision he came to realize after starting his own record label, Banks Music
In an interview with Teddy A, Banks clarified that his exit from Mavin wasn’t due to a disagreement, but rather a personal decision to pursue his own path.

He explained that his contract had ended two years prior to his departure, and he had chosen not to renew it.
Banks stated, “I signed a three-year contract and I allowed it to ride for another two years… I thought I wanted to do this now. I thought I could do it now. I just embarked on the journey… As soon as I jumped into the sea, I realised how premature it was.”
Banks rose to fame under Mavin Records, winning awards at The Headies, but ultimately decided to venture out on his own.
