Nollywood star Uzor Arukwe has responded with unexpected humor and honesty to rumors questioning his sexuality, turning what could have been a tense topic into a moment of laughter and reflection during a recent interview

“They said I was gay, and it shocked me to my balls,” Arukwe said with a grin. “But I was also excited because I’ve heard that once people start those kinds of rumors, you’re about to blow. So I thought, ‘maybe this is my moment.’”
His candid and lighthearted approach won over fans, who praised his ability to remain both open and unfazed in the face of speculation.
Arukwe also used the moment to show his support for the LGBTQ+ community, making it clear where he stands:
“I’ve got plenty of gay friends—my people. I know who they are, and I love them deeply. I’ve never had any issues with them. But I won’t claim something I’m not just to fit into anyone’s narrative. For me, it’s between the person and God.”
With a blend of humor, self-assurance, and inclusivity, Arukwe’s words struck a chord—reminding many that confidence and compassion can go hand in hand.
