Gospel singer Kunle Kenny has stated that he would rather undergo a vasectomy than have his wife use contraceptives, as he speaks on his personal stance regarding family planning and reproductive choices within marriage.
In a comment that has drawn attention for its directness, the singer said he is firmly against the use of hormonal or implanted contraceptives for his wife, stressing what he describes as a preference for natural family planning decisions made jointly by both partners.
“Nobody is putting any birth control thing inside my wife’s body. No extraneous chemicals or pills. We will only have kids when we BOTH unanimously agree, as God allows in His mercy. And when we’re done, I’m getting a vasectomy. A woman’s body is too sensitive for these chemicals. The side effects are crazy!” he said.
Kunle Kenny framed his position as both a personal conviction and a shared marital decision, noting that future childbearing would only happen when both he and his wife are in agreement.
He also mentioned plans to undergo a vasectomy once they decide their family is complete.
