The wife of content creator Odogwu Asaba has publicly defended her husband amid allegations surrounding the de.ath of a young woman identified as Favour Agbro, insisting that he neither ra. ped nor k!lled her.
Speaking on the controversy, she said she had remained silent while following developments and trying to handle the matter privately.
She also alleged that bloggers had taken photographs of her and her children and were monitoring them in an attempt to intimidate her into silence.
According to her, Odogwu Asaba only had an affair with Favour and should not be accused of rape or murder without evidence.
In a post, she said:
“Odogwu Asaba did not k!ll anybody. Odogwu Asaba did not r.ape Favour. Odogwu Asaba only had an affair with the girl.”
She said she had known her husband for eight years and believed she understood his character well enough to reject the r.ape allegation.
The woman urged the public not to rely solely on social media narratives, stressing that investigations and due process should determine what happened.
“Social media is not a courtroom. People should bear that in mind, and we don’t do these things with emotions”, she stated.
She maintained that her husband should not be blamed for Favour’s de.ath or accused of r.ape without proof, adding that there were details the public had yet to hear.
Reaffirming her loyalty, she said she would continue to stand by her husband, with whom she has four children, and expressed confidence that he would eventually return to give his own account.
She also questioned why her husband would allegedly need to force himself on a woman, claiming that his popularity meant women willingly sought intimate relationships with him.
