British-Nigerian actor, Damson Idris has unapologetically referred to himself as a “mummy’s boy”

He expressed gratitude towards his mother, crediting her for his existence and acknowledging her unwavering support.
Idris also stated that his mother is his biggest fan, and he strives to make her proud in his acting career.
The 33-year-old actor’s affection for his mother is evident in his words, saying his goal is to excel in his profession and bring pride to his mother, drawing inspiration from a movie character who shares a similar desire to make his mother proud.
He said: “I am a mummy’s boy. Big time. I am not ashamed to admit it anymore. It used to be kind of like – ‘ah, he’s a mummy’s boy.’ I am actually proud of myself on it. That woman is the reason why I exist. She is my biggest fan and I’m her biggest fan,”
“She is the one I want to make proud, and I relate to Joshua [a movie character] in that sense, too, because he just wants to make his mother proud and be the best and win a championship. And hopefully I can win a championship in whatever way I can, too.”
