The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that it will no longer recognize communications from either the David Mark-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) or that of Rafiu Bala, following its review of the Court of Appeal ruling on March 12

In a statement issued by the Commission’s Chairman of Information and Voter Education, Mohammed Kudu, INEC stated it will not engage with either faction, nor will it oversee any meetings, congresses, or conventions organized by the two groups until the Federal High Court delivers a final decision on the matter.
The commission also revealed that David Mark’s name will be removed from the INEC portal.
Rafiu Bala, formerly the vice chairman of the ADC, had approached the courts to contest the appointment of David Mark and his team to the party’s National Working Committee.
