Godswill Akpabio has linked the recent rise in insecurity across Nigeria to political activities ahead of upcoming elections, expressing confidence that the situation will improve shortly after the polls
He made the remarks on Tuesday during the launch of the Nigerian Revenue Service Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, where he also praised the performance of Bola Tinubu, suggesting that critics of the administration are resorting to destabilising tactics.
According to him, the surge in insecurity is politically motivated and driven by individuals who are unsure of their next steps.

“Insecurity is increasing because election is coming, because people don’t know what to do again. Immediately after election, two weeks after election, the insecurity will stop. The insecurity is being sponsored by people.”
Akpabio also took a swipe at the opposition, describing it as disorganised, while indirectly referencing Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election.
“Opposition is in disarray, someone got six million votes and abandoned the party, abandoned the six million votes and went shopping for another platform and they are blaming the ruling party.”
He further urged Nigerians to remain patient with the current administration, maintaining that the government is on the right path and deserves continued support.

His audacity to lie to Nigerians again just to campaign for another term in office for APC
APC lacks integrity from top to bottom!
I think the criteria to be an APC member is that you have to know how to cook up lies very well. 🤔
