Fayose urges Osun government to support families of election victims

Isaac Fayose has criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke for publicly showing support for President Bola Tinubu, questioning why the governor would align with the president after the sacrifices made by Osun residents during the election.

Fayose’s criticism raises questions about the relationship between political loyalty, shared ethnic identity and the expectations voters have of leaders they fought to keep in office.

Fayose expressed his displeasure over Adeleke’s actions, pointing to the lives lost during the election and the families left to mourn their loved ones.

In a post, he said:

“Nigerians don’t like hearing the truth that’s why the country is so bad. Osun people stood by governor Adeleke, 29 people d!ed during the Osun election. 29 families l0st their pikin, their brother or sister. 29 days later Governor Adeleke carried the mandate people of Osun fought for to be daning Azonto with the oppr3ssor’s, he’s dancing in front of the president, saying that hes working with him because I’m Yoruba, forgetting that him pikin no be Yoruba woman born am.”
