Iyanya denies favouring Davido over Wizkid

Afrobeats star Iyanya has denied claims of favoring Davido over Davido, emphasizing that he maintains good relationships with both artists and the wider music community

The issue started after a fan accused Iyanya of switching allegiance from Wizkid, with whom he collaborated on “Sexy Mama,” to Davido, following his support for the latter’s music.

Iyanya clarified that he harbors no animosity toward any artist and plays music from all camps, highlighting his role as an artist staying updated on industry trends.

He cited his habit of playing new tracks introduced by talent manager Ubi Franklin and mentioned recently partying with Burna Boy as evidence of his neutrality.

Iyanya urged fans to stop pushing agendas that don’t exist, affirming that he plays all music and has no enemies in the industry.

He said: “I don’t have an issue with any artiste.

I played Wizkid wizkid’s Made in Lagos and Maroya, the same way I play every other artiste songs. Most artiste will not say this, artiste are the first to listen to other artiste projects when they drop. Na our work to know what’s happening in the game in terms of sound etc.

I was playing Fola’s songs before he had a big song that’s cos @ubifranklin1 loves listening to a lot of new artists and he will always introduce me to their sound.
