Fuji legend K1 De Ultimate has expressed deep disappointment and hurt over fellow music icon Kollington Ayinla’s absence at his mother’s burial ceremony
K1 revealed that he had previously gone out of his way to support Kollington during his mother’s passing, covering all expenses and bringing dignitaries to the event.
Given this gesture of goodwill, K1 feels betrayed that Kollington didn’t reciprocate the gesture when his own mother passed away.
K1 questioned Kollington’s excuse that he had called and K1 didn’t pick up, finding it unacceptable given their relationship and Kollington’s proximity to the event.
The veteran musician is visibly upset, wondering why Kollington would show such disregard despite being in good health and living in Nigeria.
He said:
“I am so angry with Alhaji Kollington because he never showed up to offer his condolences when I lost my mum.”
“When his own mother passed away, I supported him to give his mum a befitting burial.”
“I brought a lot of dignitaries to the burial for him and I handled all the finances 100%. See how he paid me back,”
“He is in Nigeria, hale and hearty and the only excuse he gave was that he called me and I didn’t pick up.”
“Am I not supposed to be angry?”
