A long-running paternity suit filed against Jay-Z was officially dismissed with prejudice in California on Tuesday

A woman named Lillie Coley told the court she is the godmother and legal guardian of a man named Rymir Satterthwaite, who might be the son of the musical icon, 55.
Coley said Satterthwaite, who is in his early 30s, was fathered by Jay-Z ‘in the mid-1990s with a woman named Wanda Satterthwaite,’ who died in 2019.
Coley said the late Wanda Satterthwaite had spent almost 20 years trying to have courts in New Jersey in Pennsylvania establish Jay-Z’s paternity of Rymir Satterthwaite in domestic relations litigation, according to legal docs.
But the litigation came to an end with Wednesday’s order from the court.
‘The Court has read and considered the motion [to dismiss the case] and concluded that it is suitable for decision without oral argument,’ said a judge for the United States District Court – Central District Of California.
Wanda Satterthwaite said she gave birth to Rymir in July 1993, according to legal docs.

Wanda Satterthwaite said that she had been in an on-and-off relationship with boyfriend Robert Graves.
Graves was eliminated as a potential father via a 2010 paternity test, according to legal docs.
In one instance in the heated case, according to court docs, Coley said that Jay-Z and his team had engaged in ‘abuse of [the] legal process’ for more than a decade.
This was accomplished by leveraging ‘sealed court orders, false filings, and procedural technicalities,’ Coley said in legal documents.
Satterthwaite addressed the entertainer directly and said, ‘Honestly, I don’t got nothing against you. I just feel like we could get this resolved. I was never chasing you.’
Satterthwaite stressed he was ‘never chasing’ the Numb/Encore artist for fame and clout.
He added, ‘I just really want to resolve this. I just want to resolve this and get this matter done.’
Satterthwaite stressed that ‘this could all be done with one simple test’ – and that he really wanted the situation to conclude.
‘I just really want it over with. It is something that is really affecting my life and I just want it over with.’
Satterthwaite added: ‘My mom passed away during this case and I really feel like I have unfinished business.’
Rymir Satterthwaite told Daily Mail that he ‘really’ believes that the ’03 Bonnie & Clyde artist is his biological father.
‘If he is not, why can’t he prove me wrong?’ Satterthwaite said. ‘Go to the courtroom and do what everyone else has to do.’
Satterthwaite said he was prepared to accept the results for whatever they were: ‘I can take a no. I can take being embarrassed.
‘I’ve been through a lot. I could take me being embarrassed. I just can’t take him not saying nothing. It is not fair. I am coming to the courts for the truth.’
