JD Vance declares Nicki Minaj greater than Cardi B, a blunt comment that instantly sparked conversation as the Vice President stepped into a rivalry that has divided fan bases for years
His post on X put him right in the middle of the enduring debate over which rapper stands taller in the industry.
The exchange began after Nicki Minaj briefly posted — and later deleted — the message “Vance > Rants.”
Catching the mention, Vance replied with his own comparison: “Nicki > Cardi B.” He offered no explanation for his choice, and Cardi B has not responded.
Though his remark generated plenty of chatter, Vance has no involvement in the long-running feud between the two stars, a clash that traces back to 2017.
The rappers also sit on opposite ends of the country’s political divide: Minaj has shown support for President Donald Trump, while Cardi B remains one of his most vocal critics.
