Veteran Yoruba actress, Peju Ogunmola has lost her only child
The actress is mourning the tragic loss of her son, Ayomikun, who passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025.
The sad news was first shared by fellow actor Odunlade Adekola, prompting an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, friends, and fans across social media.
Ayomikun, affectionately known as Shina, was the only child between the actress and her husband, renowned comic actor, Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as Papi Luwe.
Just months ago, he had completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, a milestone that brought his mother immense pride.
The Nollywood community has been deeply affected by the loss, with many actors and fans sending heartfelt messages of sympathy.
