The controversy centers on the alleged substandard quality of fuel produced by the refinery, with NMDPRA claiming high sulphur content in the diesel.

However, Dangote has refuted these claims, citing lab analysis showing lower sulphur content. In a bid to address the impasse, the House of Representatives has urged both parties to resolve their differences amicably.

To foster collaboration and find a lasting solution, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri, has convened a high-level meeting with key stakeholders, including Dangote and NMDPRA leadership.

This intervention aims to ensure the success and optimal performance of the Oil and Gas sector, crucial for Nigeria’s economic growth and energy security.
