Justin Bieber and Usher aren’t so close anymore
The two were involved in an altercation during an Oscars after-party hosted by Beyoncé and Jay-Z, TMZ reports.
Usher reportedly approached Bieber at the party, held at West Hollywood’s storied Chateau Marmont, with “energy and anger,” and the two ended up getting into a “heated exchange.”
Guests at the party, according to TMZ, included Justin’s wife Hailey Bieber, as well as Michael B. Jordan, who just landed an Oscars Best Actor win for his roles in Sinners, Oscar nominees Teyana Taylor and Timothee Chalamet, as well as Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Kris Jenner.
Usher and Bieber have a long-standing friendship and professional relationship that began in 2008, with Usher playing a pivotal role in mentoring and launching Bieber’s career.
The duo have since collaborated on various projects throughout Bieber’s career, including on-stage reunions and a brief discussion regarding a potential appearance at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show.
