Protesters in Kano State have taken to the streets, waving Russian flags and calling for help from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

They are unhappy with President Bola Tinubu’s administration and are seeking external assistance.

Bashir Ahmad, former Special Assistant on Digital Communication to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, confirmed the protests and urged authorities to monitor the situation closely.

Ahmad suggested that the display of Russian flags might indicate deeper issues or external influences that need thorough investigation. He tweeted:

“Russian flags have been seen among protesters in some parts of the country. It’s crucial for authorities to closely monitor the situation and take necessary precautions. This may indicate various underlying sentiments or influences that need to be carefully assessed and addressed by the government.”
