A Nigerian lady has called out Reekado Banks’ management over an alleged unpaid compensation she was promised after joining the singer on stage during a performance.
According to the lady, she was having a good time dancing with Reekado Banks during the performance and was already preparing to leave the stage when a member of his management approached her.
She said the manager told her that she was entitled to compensation for appearing on stage, even though she had never asked to be paid.
The two exchanged contact details, and she later sent him a message introducing herself. She said she did not send another message afterwards because she expected the manager to follow up with her.
Days later, another member of Reekado Banks’ team contacted her and asked if she had received her compensation.
Wanting to confirm that the person contacting her was genuinely part of the singer’s team, she reached out to the first manager. According to her, he asked her to send a screenshot of the conversation.
She said she sent the screenshot, but the manager left her message on read without responding. She followed up again a few days later, but said she still received no clear response or payment.
“I never disturbed or bombarded him with messages. I only messaged him three times. The last time was on Tuesday, and till today, he has only read the messages but never replied,” she said.
The lady said the situation was disappointing because she would not have expected any money from the performance if it had not been offered to her in the first place.
She explained that once someone offers compensation, especially when the person involved never asked for it, the reasonable thing would be to honour the promise or at least communicate clearly about what is happening.
She said she wants her post to get to Reekado Banks himself, as she believes he will respond to her question.
