Joe Germanotta, Lady Gaga’s father, spoke about the family disagreements that arose after he voted for Donald Trump, while his daughter showed her support for Kamala Harris
Germanotta noted that tensions especially grew after Trump won by a large margin.
In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, he was asked if he believed families divided by politics might “heal” after the election.
He responded, “I think so.”
Germanotta shared, “Since I revealed my Republican views on FOX & Friends, things have been a bit tense at home, but we’ll work through it.”
The New York-based restaurant owner described himself as an “open-minded Republican,” mentioning that he often backs social issues that lean liberal.
He added, “People should know that even though I’m a Republican with conservative views, I still support the LGBTQ community and respect drag as an art form.”
