A lady has recounted how a man who offered her a ride allegedly drove off with her phone after asking to use it to save his number.
She said she was on her way back from getting food when the man approached her, complimented her and offered to give her a lift. She initially turned him down because she lived close by.
According to her, the man later asked for her phone number. Instead of giving him hers, she asked him to give her his number so she could flash him.
She said the man then asked to use her phone to save his number himself. But as soon as she handed it over, he allegedly drove away with the phone.
Describing what happened, she said:
“Immediately I gave him my phone, the guy zoomed off. How can a man with fancy car be stealing? I have been crying ever since”.
