Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat has disclosed that the state government has begun arresting individuals accused of stopping luxury vehicles and causing a nuisance along the Lekki axis
Hamzat made the disclosure during an interview with Nigeria Info FM while responding to concerns about the activities of so-called car spotters around the roundabout on the road leading towards Lekki.

He described the behaviour as cr!minal and said the government would not allow such activities to continue on the streets.
According to the Hamzat, security agencies have already arrested several people linked to the activities, with some of those apprehended appearing before a magistrate court.
He said:
“It has started, as you can see, as we discussed, a lot of… That is criminal, and therefore we will not allow it. We will take a lot of them off the street.
“From Lekki all the way down. Well, a lot of people have been arrested, really, cause camera is a lot of cameras are also on this on that road and people have been seen and I can show you people some people are in the magistrate court today uh-huh that they were arrested last week, well towards the end over the weekend.”
