The Lagos State Government has shut down Blessed Happy Homes Superstore, located at 6th Avenue, 13th Road, FESTAC Town, for selling expired Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and breaching health and safety regulations

The action, executed by the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA), underscores the government’s dedication to safeguarding consumer health and well-being.
The closure was announced by Tokunbo Wahab, Lagos State Commissioner for Works and Water Resources, via a post on X today.
Wahab revealed that LASCOPA officials discovered expired products on the store’s shelves, including baby food dating back to 2023, posing serious health risks to consumers.
“Blessed Happy Homes Superstore was sealed for selling expired products, violating health regulations, and endangering consumer safety,” Wahab’s post read.
A video accompanying the announcement showed LASCOPA officials marking the supermarket with red spray paint, signaling its immediate closure.
